Atlantic Technological University and University of Galway collaborate to host prestigious international conference in Galway

The National Centre of Excellence for Home Economics, ATU St Angelas and University of Galway are delighted to announce their collaboration in hosting the upcoming XXV World Congress of the International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE). The Conference will take place from 23 June to 28 June 2024, and will be held on the University of Galway campus.
 

Atlantic Technological University (ATU) will serve as the host institution and the conference will utilise the conference facilities of the University of Galway campus. This partnership between the two universities highlights their joint commitment to advancing academic excellence and to promoting Galway and the west of Ireland internationally. The conference is expected to welcome up to 800 international delegates to Galway, bringing an economic boost to the city while showcasing the outstanding academic work of ATU St Angelas in the discipline Home Economics to a global audience.

Speaking about the event, Dr Amanda McCloat, Head of ATU St Angelas said, "In collaboration with University of Galway, we are proud to host the XXV World Congress of IFHE, demonstrating our commitment to global knowledge exchange and innovation in Home Economics".

Professor Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh, President of University of Galway added, "As a university community that values openness and excellence, we are delighted to partner with Atlantic Technological University in hosting this prestigious event in Galway. Ours is a university with no gates, and we look forward to welcoming the global International Federation for Home Economics delegates to our city and region".
